Sports Massage

Deep tissue work is performed within a clients’ pain threshold, however the “good hurt” can occur with deeper pressure, and long-lasting results. When muscles are overused we experience microscopic muscle tears from the repeated stress. The body then uses tissue calcium to patch the tears, and over time scar tissue calcifies and/or becomes fibrotic. These tissues can often be mistaken for arthritis due to the pain and tenderness.
Calcified and fibrotic muscles can occur by:
- Microscopic Muscle Tears
- Repeated Overuse
- Scarring
- Collagen Crosslinking (collagen fibrils form strong chemical bonds with adjacent fibrils)
- High Levels of Lactate Acid
- Acidic Water (mineral deficiencies and imbalances)
- pH Imbalance
- Enzyme deficiencies

Whether you spend time outdoors, on the field or in the gym, a sports massage will assist with increased joint flexibility, muscle mobility and decrease injury prolonging your sports activities. Drink high quality water, take proper supplements and nutrients, include plant-based minerals, and keep muscles stretched pre and post activities. Along with massage therapy, you will see improved range of motion and muscle condition.
Just wanted you to know I feel so much better today. Your approach is working. Thank you! Jeff H., Coto de Caza

I have been getting sports/deep tissue massages for many years. I find Sherry to be the best massage therapist I’ve ever had! I feel so taken care of and that no one else matters when I’m in Sherry’s hands. I highly recommend Sherry and have even had her come to my office as well as my home. I feel so honored and lucky to have Sherry in my life helping me take the best possible care of myself. Thank you! Catherine S.
